Auberge du Gros Tilleul

Auberge du Gros Tilleul

A peaceful retreat, four centuries old

Auberge du Gros Tilleul

In the shade of the linden tree planted by Sully, in the Authie valley, at the gateway to the Bay of Somme.

A charming dining experience

Restaurant, home-cooked cuisine with flavors of the Picardy region

Welcome to our table: push the door open and come taste an entirely home-cooked cuisine inspired by the seasons and the local terroir.

Our Picardy fireplaces keep you warm all winter, and the dining room has kept all its period charm: chalk walls, a sloping ceiling, and red terracotta floor tiles create a welcoming decor, perfect for a meal in a cozy atmosphere. On sunny days, the terrace facing the castle prolongs the pleasure.

Our menu is entirely home-cooked. Our profiteroles are served with two homemade choux pastries filled with vanilla ice cream and topped with melted chocolate prepared on site.

On the savory side, let yourself be tempted by our Picardy specialties: “ficelle picarde” (savory crêpe), sautéed rabbit, or pan-seared foie gras with honey.

Our surroundings

A haven of peace just a stone's throw from the Bay of Somme

Facing a beautiful Renaissance castle, the inn opens onto a wooded park where it is pleasant to stroll, read in the shade, or play with the family. Just 2 km away, the famous Valloires Gardens and their Cistercian abbey can be visited on foot or by bicycle. The Bay of Somme, the Marquenterre park, and the long beaches of the Opal Coast are about twenty minutes away: here, nature is always close at hand.

Rest in the shade of the venerable linden tree
